Engineering students need to have the skills of innovation and entrepreneurship even if they do not plan to start their own enterprise.
This Symposium will include a panel discussion, a competition and a workshop
- Experts will participate in Panel Discussions on the need for skills of innovation and entrepreneurship.
- Teams of faculty and students will participate in a Pitch Contest: Teams are encouraged to participate even if they have never done this before. Teams will be guided during an introductory session and will later participate in a competition. The best will be awarded prizes.
- All participants will offered a workshop for further developing their skills of innovation and entrepreneurship.
- Interested participants will be mentored during the coming year to be part of other national and international competitions of this type.
Dr. Ranji Vaidyanathan of Oklahoma State University with experience in organizing and conducting similar events in the US will lead this effort and will be supported by members of the IUCEE Industry Teaching Fellows.
