International Conference on Transformations in Engineering Education (ICTIEE) is one of the signature programs of the IUCEE Foundation, connecting experts and passionate educators globally to improve the potential for excellence in engineering education. The conference has emerged as a global platform for sharing best practices and collaborating with academic and industrial experts for faculty and students. Over time, the research articles submitted to ICTIEE have significantly improved in quality and quantity.
ICTIEE 2024 will be held at KLE Technological University, Hubbali, Karnataka, India, with a focus on “Systemic Transformation in Engineering Education”.
Systemic Transformation in Engineering Education requires an ecosystem for outcomes-based curriculum development, the practice of student-centric teaching and learning pedagogies, appropriate choice of technologies to enhance learning outcomes, effective assessment strategies, and institutional support for innovative transformations. The tracks have been designed to reflect this emphasis on holistic change processes.
Call for Papers
The IUCEE Foundation and KLE Tech invite faculty and other professionals to submit full-length original, unpublished research and technical papers that demonstrate contemporary research in engineering education in the following tracks, which focuses on the theme of the conference by August 31, 2023. After the double-blind review, the selected papers will make oral presentations at the conference. The selected papers will be sent to the Journal of Engineering Education (JEET) for publication in a Special Issue.
Important Dates:
Call for Papers: 07 June 2023
Full Paper Submission Deadline: 10 September 2023
Full Paper Status Notification: 15 October 2023
Camera Ready Paper Submission Deadline: 15 November 2023

Registrations will open from Oct 3, 2023
- Prospective authors are invited to submit full length papers of their original and unpublished research works in the tracks specified.
- The length of the paper shall be 4-8 pages with good clarity of the content (text, images and equations).
- The authors are expected to follow the template as provided in <https://sciresol.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/srs-j/jeet/guidelines/jeet-template_rev.docx> in preparing the research papers.
- The paper submitted must be uploaded in PDF format
- All paper submissions are subject to a double-blind review process and hence any information identifying the authors or their institution should be anonymized while submitting the paper.
- Papers that do not conform with “double-blind submission” policies and out of the scope of the conference will be rejected without review.
- The double-blind review process evaluates novelty, significance, scientific rigor, clarity and quality of the submitted paper.
- Submitted papers must not have been published as copyrighted material nor be submitted for consideration for publication as copyrighted material in print or electronic form.
- If selected for oral presentation at least one of the authors must register for the conference to present their paper during the conference.
- Manuscripts of the selected papers will be forwarded to Journal of Engineering Education Transformations (JEET) for publication in Special Issue. (Scopus indexed Journal http://www.journaleet.in/).
- The papers submitted via email will be rejected without review.
- The Author must go through the track and sub-track list mentioned above.
- The authors must select one track to which the paper belongs. This selection cannot be modified once the manuscript has been accepted for oral presentation and publication.
- Remove the names and affiliations of authors from the title page of the PDF file that you submit for review. This information must be included in the final camera-ready copy if your paper gets accepted. While submitting your paper for review, you need to include all the author details only at the registration page. The PDF file of the paper should not have the author information.
- Remove acknowledgments of identifying names and funding sources from the PDF file that you will submit for review. This information must be included in the final camera-ready copy if your paper gets accepted.
- Remove project titles or names that can be used to trace back to the authors via a web search engine.
- Name your files carefully. The source file names (e.g., “Rajesh.pdf”) are often embedded in the final output as accessible comments.
- Use care in referring to your previous works as related works. Do not omit references to provide anonymity, as this leaves the reviewer unable to grasp the context. Instead, you can reference your past work in the third person format, just like any other piece of related work by another author. For example, instead of “Recently, we have proposed a new protocol [9] …,” sentences in the spirit of “Recently, the authors in [9] have proposed a new protocol …” may be used.
- Papers with the same title and abstract should not be posted on a public website, such as arxiv.org, or shared via public mailing lists or communicated to other conferences/journals/publications.

About KLE Tech
KLE Technological University (KLE Tech) has its roots in one of the premier engineering institutions of Karnataka, B. V. Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology (BVB), a prestigious engineering college in Hubli. The founding organization KLE Society, Belgaum, established BVB college in 1947 to create an institution that would lay the foundation of modern engineering education in the northern region of Karnataka. As we stepped into the 21st century, the college undertook a comprehensive reform process to adapt to the challenging global engineering education scenario. In pursuit of academic excellence, the college attained academic autonomy from University Grant Commission (UGC) in 2007. In 2014 the college was recognized as a state private University by the Government of Karnataka. The rich heritage of BVB College as one of the best engineering colleges in Hubballi, combined with the brand equity of KLE Society, are the starting points for KLE Technological University to emerge as a University with a national distinction.
KLE Tech is vital in creating an engineering education system that offers students opportunities to realize their potential and prepare themselves for a professional career. These initiatives include designing industry-relevant curricula, practising active, collaborative, experiential learning pedagogies, assessment, and evaluation. KLE Tech is recognized for innovations in this space. Learning from these innovations and sustaining them resulted in the establishment of the Centre for Engineering Education Research (CEER). CEER was established in 2010 to promote innovation and research in Engineering Education to bring about a qualitative change in students’ learning experience.
CEER has traversed in its journey from the promotion of Scholarship of teaching and learning to research in engineering education. Through continuous engagement with faculty on curriculum design, teaching-learning and assessment, CEER has been influential in building capacity for adopting evidence-based practices in engineering education to design innovative courses and programs at KLE Tech. Its journey from Scholarship of teaching- learning to engineering education research culminated in setting up a PhD program in 2015, followed by a research canvas comprising service learning, problem/project-based learning, technology-enhanced learning and discipline-based education research. Through thoughtfully designed outreach activities, CEER has been instrumental in promoting the setting up of Teaching-Learning centres, first-year interdisciplinary design and PBL courses, and instructional design for student-centred learning across several institutes at the regional and national levels. Along with the latest collaboration with Aalborg University, Denmark, on developing a PBL certification program for India, it further strives to elevate its engineering education research capabilities through strategic global partnerships and collaborations.
